Lectern Rental in Malaga, Spain

Lectern Rental in Malaga, Spain

By Hector Luis Lorenzo ·

Searching for lectern rental in Malaga, Spain, usually means a speaker who needs somewhere to stand, put their notes and speak into a microphone: a conference opening, a company announcement, an awards ceremony, a trade show talk. This page explains the lecterns we actually own, which package lets you add one, what goes on top of it and what we source when you need something different.

Malaga Event Gear (MEG) owns two methacrylate lecterns and delivers, installs and tests them with a sound system across Malaga and the wider Costa del Sol. They are one part of our audiovisual equipment rental service, where you can see the rest of the range.

Brief Overview

Malaga Event Gear owns two methacrylate lecterns, the kind a speaker uses for a formal address. The MICE Pack lists a premium methacrylate lectern as an optional extra at 50 euros, and both MICE packages include a gooseneck microphone. Any other lectern booking is quoted with the rest of your event, and more than two lecterns means suppliers.

Key Highlights

  • Two methacrylate lecterns in our own inventory.

  • A premium methacrylate lectern is a 50 euro optional extra of the MICE Pack. We publish no price for one on its own, so any other booking is quoted.

  • Both the Basic MICE Pack and the MICE Pack include a gooseneck microphone. The MICE Pack adds a wireless handheld microphone and a technician on site for up to 6 hours.

  • We publish no height or width for the lectern. If the size matters for your speaker, tell us before you book.

  • A truss lectern is not in our own inventory. We look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one.

  • Who sets it up and tests it? Our crew delivers, installs and tests it with the sound system. We work delivery only, with no self pickup.

  • Who operates the sound during the speech? A technician, if your package includes one or you add one. The speaker runs their own slides.

  • What is not covered? A truss lectern, a lectern with a built in screen and any lectern beyond our two are not in our own inventory.

Our Two Methacrylate Lecterns

Our lecterns are two methacrylate units, the clear acrylic style that stays out of the way on a stage and does not compete with the screen behind the speaker. A lectern is a stand a speaker stands behind, so the hands stay free for the notes and the microphone is at mouth height.

We do not publish a technical sheet for them. No height, width, weight or material thickness, and no claim of a built in light, a document shelf or an inclined tray. If one of those matters for your event, tell us and we say plainly what we can and cannot offer.

Which Package Lets You Add a Lectern

The lectern is a matter of the MICE Pack first. That package, at 490 euros ex VAT, includes a 60 inch LED display, one gooseneck plus one wireless handheld microphone and a technician on site for up to 6 hours, for up to 120 guests. A premium methacrylate lectern is on its list of optional extras at 50 euros.

The Basic MICE Pack at 295 euros ex VAT includes a 3000 lumen projector with a 2x2m screen, sound reinforcement for up to 40 guests and one professional gooseneck microphone for a podium or lectern. The lectern itself is not part of its list. Tell us you want one and we quote it together with the package.

None of our other packages includes a lectern. If your event is not a conference, for example a wedding or a party, a lectern is a separate item we quote with the rest of your booking.

Lectern and Microphone: What Goes on Top

A lectern without a microphone only holds notes, so the two are planned together. On a lectern we use a gooseneck microphone, which has a flexible neck so you can adjust its height and angle toward the speaker's mouth. It is wired, so it runs into the mixing console of the sound system. Both MICE packages include one.

A gooseneck keeps the speaker's hands free and the microphone at a steady distance from the mouth, which is what makes a speech easy to hear. A wireless handheld microphone suits the opposite case: a speaker who walks off the lectern to the front of the stage or into the audience. The MICE Pack includes both, so a presenter can start at the lectern and carry on with the handheld. Our guide to wireless handheld microphone rental covers the handheld microphones we own. Our guide to conference table microphone rental explains the four gooseneck microphones we own and which package includes one.

Lectern Size, Height and Placement

We cannot give you a height or a width, because we have not published them. What we can tell you is what to check before you book, wherever you hire a lectern.

  • The speakers. One tall and one short speaker at the same lectern is common at a conference. A gooseneck microphone adjusts to the person, which makes this easier, so tell us how many different people will speak.
  • The stage. A lectern on the floor and a lectern on a stage platform give different sightlines. Stage platforms are a separate optional extra of the MICE Pack, at 35 euros per square meter.
  • The screen. Place the lectern beside the screen, not in front of it, so the speaker does not cover the slides.
  • The cable run. The microphone is wired to the mixing console, so the lectern sits within reach of the console. Tell us the layout of the room and we plan the run.

Who Sets the Sound, and Is a Technician Included?

Our crew delivers, installs and tests the lectern microphone with the sound system before your event starts, setting the level on the mixing console and the position of the microphone for the room.

During the event, who touches the console depends on the package. The MICE Pack includes a technician on site for up to 6 hours, who operates the sound and the microphones and solves any fault with the sound or the screen. An extra hour is 40 euros. On the Basic MICE Pack a technician is optional at 240 euros per day, and without one the levels set at installation stay as they are. The speaker always runs their own slides. Our guide to audio system calibration explains how the levels are set.

How Much Does a Lectern Rental Cost?

The cost has three parts. The package comes first: 295 euros ex VAT for the Basic MICE Pack or 490 euros ex VAT for the MICE Pack, with transport and setup included and 21 percent Spanish VAT added on top. The lectern comes second: a premium methacrylate lectern is a 50 euro optional extra of the MICE Pack, and for any other booking we quote it. The technician comes third: included for up to 6 hours on the MICE Pack, 240 euros per day on the Basic MICE Pack.

We publish no price for a lectern on its own and no daily or weekly rate, so we will not guess a figure here. Tell us your event and we quote the package, the lectern and the technician together.

How to Choose a Lectern Rental

Whoever you hire, these five questions are worth asking. Here are our answers:

  • Who owns the lectern? Two methacrylate lecterns are ours. Anything beyond them, or a different style such as a truss lectern, is sourced from suppliers, and we tell you so.
  • Is a microphone included? Both MICE packages include a gooseneck microphone. The lectern is a separate item.
  • Who sets the sound? Our crew installs and tests it. A technician during the event is included in the MICE Pack and optional on the Basic MICE Pack.
  • What is the size? We publish no dimensions. Ask whoever you hire to confirm the height and width in writing if your speaker needs it.
  • How does it arrive? We work delivery only, with no self pickup, and every booking needs at least 24 hours of notice.

Real Setups We've Delivered

For a two day Bmotion event in Benahavis, we equipped presenters with gooseneck microphones on a methacrylate lectern for formal addresses, alongside wireless microphones for panels and Q&A. That is the setup this page describes: a lectern for the formal speech and wireless microphones for the rest.

Where We Deliver and How to Book

Searching for a rental near you matters less than whether the equipment reaches your venue. We are based in Malaga and deliver across the Costa del Sol: Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Estepona, Mijas, Ronda and Nerja are all in our service area, and we also serve Sevilla with no minimum order. Granada needs a booking over 400 euros to cover the single day travel.

We work delivery only, with no self pickup, so nobody collects a lectern from us. Every booking needs at least 24 hours of notice, and booking as soon as your date is set leaves you the most choice. Contact us with your venue, your date and who will speak.

Conclusion

Lectern rental in Malaga means two methacrylate lecterns of our own: a 50 euro optional extra of the MICE Pack, quoted for any other booking, with a gooseneck microphone included in both MICE packages. A truss lectern or more than two lecterns means suppliers, and we say so before you book. Contact us with your event details, or see the wider range on our audiovisual equipment rental service page.

FAQs

Can I rent a lectern on its own?

We quote it as a separate item. A premium methacrylate lectern is listed as a 50 euro optional extra of the MICE Pack, and we publish no price for one on its own, so we will not guess a figure. Tell us the event, the date and the venue, and we quote the lectern together with the sound it needs. We work delivery only, with no self pickup.

How many lecterns do you have?

Two methacrylate lecterns in our own inventory. If your event needs more than two, they are not in our own inventory, so tell us how many and we look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one. We do not promise availability or a price until we have checked.

Does the lectern come with a microphone?

The lectern is a separate item from the microphone. Both MICE packages include a gooseneck microphone: one on the Basic MICE Pack, and one gooseneck plus one wireless handheld on the MICE Pack. Our crew installs and tests the microphone with the sound system before your event.

What are the dimensions of the lectern?

We publish no height or width for our lectern, because we have not published them. If the size matters for your speaker, for example a very tall or a very short presenter, tell us when you contact us. A gooseneck microphone also adjusts its height and angle toward the speaker's mouth, which helps when several people use the same lectern.

Do you rent a truss lectern or a podium?

Our own lecterns are the methacrylate type. A truss lectern, a lectern with a built in screen or any other style is not in our own inventory. Tell us what you need and we look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one. We do not promise availability or a price until we have checked. Our guide to audio visual rental for corporate meetings explains what a meeting usually needs around the lectern.

Is a technician included with the lectern?

It depends on the package. The MICE Pack includes a technician on site for up to 6 hours, who operates the sound and the microphones. On the Basic MICE Pack a technician is optional at 240 euros per day. The technician runs the sound, not the slides, so the speaker controls what is shown on the screen.
