Most smoke machine rental pages sell the machine. This one starts somewhere else, because the machine is the easy part.
A fog machine is not a decoration. It exists for one reason: light travelling through clean air is invisible. You only see the beam when there is something in the air for it to hit. Rent lighting without fog and you get lit surfaces. Add fog and you get the beams themselves, which is the look almost everyone actually had in mind.

One machine is genuinely enough for a dancefloor, a stage or a single presentation area. It is not enough to fill a large hall evenly, and we are not going to tell you otherwise. If you have seen a venue wrapped corner to corner in fog, that was several machines placed around the room, not one. The extra machines are not in our own inventory, but tell us the room and we will look for them with our suppliers, if they are available.
How You Get It: An Add On, Not a Package
The fog machine is an option on two of our packages, at 20 euros on top of the package price:

We do not rent it on its own. It is 20 euros of atmosphere layered onto a booking that already has the sound and the lighting, and on its own in an empty room it does nothing worth paying for.
The Fire Alarm Question, Which Decides Everything
Here is the part that gets skipped until the morning of the event.
Fog sets off optical smoke detectors. Not sometimes. That is how the detectors work: they look for particles suspended in the air, and fog is particles suspended in the air. A detector cannot tell the difference between glycol fog and an actual fire.
So before anyone books a fog machine, one question has to be answered by the venue, not by us and not by you:
Can the smoke detection in this room be isolated for the duration of the event, and who is authorised to do it?
In hotels and licensed venues on the Costa del Sol the answer is usually yes, and it involves the venue's own maintenance or security staff putting the affected zone into test mode, with a written record. In others the answer is a flat no, most often where the detection is tied directly to an automatic fire brigade call.
What this means in practice:
- Ask the venue before you book the add on, not after. Twenty euros is cheap. A building evacuation during the first dance is not.
- We cannot isolate a detector, and we will not try. Fire detection is the venue's system and their legal responsibility.
- If the venue says no, say no. We would rather lose 20 euros than trigger an alarm at your event.
Outdoors this problem disappears, but a different one arrives: wind. Fog outdoors disperses in seconds unless the area is sheltered, so the effect is usually worth less than it costs to set up.
Fog, Haze and Low Lying Fog Are Three Different Products
These get used interchangeably online and they are not the same thing. We stock exactly one of the three. The other two are not in our own inventory, but tell us which one you need and we will look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one.

That third row matters more than the other two, because it is the one people picture for a wedding first dance: the couple apparently standing on a cloud. That effect needs a chilled fog or dry ice machine, which is not in our own inventory. Our fog rises and spreads rather than hugging the floor. If a floor cloud is what you want, tell us and we will look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one, and plan the lighting around it.
Gender Reveals: Read This Before You Book
"Gender reveal smoke machine" is one of the most common ways people arrive at a page like this, and the honest answer is not the one most rental pages give.
Our fog machine produces white fog. It cannot produce pink or blue.
A gender reveal needs coloured smoke, which comes from a completely different family of products: smoke grenades, powder cannons and pyrotechnic smoke sticks. Those are consumables with a colourant burned or expelled, not a glycol fog machine with a filter on it. They are not in our own inventory. If coloured smoke is what you want, tell us and we will look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one. Check with the venue first, the same as with fog.
What we can do with our own equipment is the lighting. An RGBW wash in pink or blue across the reveal area, triggered on cue, reads clearly in photos and on video, needs no venue permission and cannot be ruined by wind. Fog Plus Which Lights, Exactly
Fog only earns its 20 euros when there is a beam for it to reveal. Against our real fixture list:
- The RGBW light bars on the Eco Pack, included in the package. In clean air you see coloured pools on a wall. With fog you see the beams crossing the room. This is the pairing the add on exists for.
- The fairy lights on the Wedding Pack, warm LED strings. They are small points of light rather than beams, so fog softens the air around them rather than drawing beams through it. For visible beams at a wedding, pair the fog with the Eurolite bars or the Fresnel below.
- Eurolite LED KLS-200 bars, 2 units, not included in any package and quoted on request. Four fixed heads per bar, aimed by hand. With fog you see four beams crossing the room.
- ADJ Encore FRI50Z, a zoom Fresnel. A soft edged wash rather than a hard beam, so fog thickens it into a visible cone of light.
- ADJ Element H6 Pack, the six wireless uplights covered in our stage uplighting guide. These point up a wall and are seen ON the wall, so fog adds the least here of anything we stock.
One honest limit carried over from the pillar: our lighting runs on foot pedal and manual aiming, not DMX. There is no programmed cue stack synchronising a fog burst to a lighting change on a timeline. A technician triggers it by hand at the right moment, which is entirely adequate for a first dance or an entrance and is not the automated show some pages imply.

How Far in Advance to Book
All our bookings need at least 24 hours' notice, and the fog machine is no exception. The constraint that actually needs lead time is not ours, it is the venue's: getting written confirmation that the detection zone can be isolated can take days if it has to go through a hotel's technical department. Ask early, book late.

Do you rent a haze machine?
Not from our own inventory: we stock fog, not haze. Fog is visible white cloud that drifts and thins, haze is a near invisible mist that hangs for hours. If your production specifically needs haze, tell us and we will look for a solution with our suppliers, if there is one.
How many smoke machines do you have?
